Leave That Girl Alone -
Before I was barely out of my teens I used to do Cabaret gigs at strip clubs on St. Kilda strip in Melbourne Australia where soul, blues and jazz seemed to be just the ticket for keeping the dirty old men with their pants on inbetween the strip shows. With this cd, I guess I wanted to record that style of singing while also making a vehicle for Demetris(hard candy/ headcharge) guitar chops (as from his thrash influences, no one knows he can actually play like this). I replaced the bad electric piano sounds of the 70s Cabaret for a more 60s feel and sound because I will never be that desperate as to want to recreate the Cabaret sound of that time. It was pretty painful. Now it's done, don't expect to hear me do it again. Just because I can, doesn't mean I want to ... although I might, if I feel like it.
